Responsibilities

Peraton's Procurement Organization is seeking a Procurement, Senior Associate. The Senior Associate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Oversees purchases of materials, equipment, products, parts, services, and supplies necessary for on-going operations.
  • Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of materials, equipment, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process.
  • Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
  • In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
  • Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s).
  • Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
  • Maintains detailed records of goods and services ordered and received.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and approves specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
  • Locates vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and consults with them to determine product availability and terms of sales. Represents company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Requires 5+ years of experience with BS/BA or 4 years with an Associates Degree. 
  • Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
  • Experience with Federal and/or DoD supply chain management policies and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization. 
  • Detail oriented, problem solver who works well under pressure.
  • Customer service oriented professional.

 

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Experience with government lifecycle management.
  • Experience with managing budgets.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
