Responsibilities

As a candidate for this position, you will be responsible for everyday server operations such as deploy, package, secure, update, and configure Windows Server workloads using on-premises, hybrid, and cloud technologies. In this role, you implement and manage on-premises and hybrid solutions, such as identity, security, management, compute, networking, storage, monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery.  Working directly within the Trellix team and with the MDE team, able to understand and implement endpoint security policies as needed.

You must have experience using administrative tools and technologies such as Windows Admin Center, PowerShell, Azure Arc, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, Azure Automation Update Management, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and IaaS virtual machine (VM) administration.

The Systems Administrator should have several years of experience with Windows Server operating systems and a working knowledge of PowerShell and Linux RHEL OS.

Skills required:

  • Deploy and manage Windows Servers and workloads in a hybrid environment
  • Manage virtual machines and containers within VMWare
  • Implement and manage an on-premises and hybrid networking infrastructure
  • Experience managing storage and file services
  • Secure Windows Server on-premises and hybrid infrastructure
  • Implement and manage Windows Server high availability
  • Implement disaster recovery; Backup procedures and COOP operation
  • Experience with Migration of servers and workload
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting Windows Server environments

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with BS/BA; 3 years of experience with MS/MA; 7 years of experience with and Associates; at least 9 years of experience without a degree
  • Experience as a Systems Administrator or experience supporting complex end user desktop and mobile device support
  • DoD Top Secret or higher clearance (current and active)
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II (such as Security+)

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
