Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Part-Time Project Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse professionals.

 

This role is based in North Carolina as a statewide telecommuter, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.

 

The position requires 20 hours per week.

 

The successful candidate will join our team of experienced, motivated individuals to support the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Law Enforcement Information Exchange (LInX) Program, providing project management support for the DoD LInX system.

 

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support NCIS goals and objectives through outreach to North & South Carolina Law Enforcement agencies

    Provide support for the LInX Carolinas Board of Governance Executive and Technical meetings

  • Report weekly status to the NCIS LInX PMO and Peraton LInX Program Manager
  • Provide training support to member agencies

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 8 years of experience or a Masters degree with 6 years of experience or a high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years of experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must have extensive project or program management experience, ideally within defense, law enforcement, or a federal contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as PMI, Agile, or Lean, and experience in using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact with varying levels of DoD, Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement agencies and to train users and train the trainers.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a wide-ranging variety of requests from DoD, Federal, State and Local agency system users.
  • Capability to assess project needs, troubleshoot issues, and adapt plans based on feedback or changing requirements.
  • Experience in supporting or managing outreach initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training materials or support sessions, ideally for law enforcement or government agencies.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
