Responsibilities

We are actively seeking a Senior Data Science/Engineer with deep expertise in Data Science and AI, complemented by strong software development and deployment capabilities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading the design, build-out, testing, and release of our innovative disease models. This role demands close collaboration with our Predict analysts and engineering teams and involves managing and mentoring direct reports to cultivate an environment of continuous learning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and development of cutting-edge disease models using advanced data science techniques and artificial intelligence.
  • Craft custom algorithms utilizing tools such as Apache Spark for big data processing, SQL for database queries, NLP for textual analysis, computer vision for image-based insights, along with deep learning frameworks for predictive analytics.
  • Design compelling data visualizations to communicate complex analytical findings effectively.
  • Implement semi-supervised learning methods and data programming strategies to optimize model performance with sparse labeled datasets.
  • Develop code primarily in Python or R while adhering to best practices in version control using Git.
  • Construct robust APIs and web applications employing CSS/HTML/JS alongside relevant templating engines and frameworks for enhanced user engagement with disease models.
  • Manage application deployment within Docker containers across cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, integrating CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery processes.
  • Participate actively in knowledge sharing sessions within the team; mentor junior engineers and analysts to foster a culture of continuous professional growth.
  • Oversee direct reports by providing guidance, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and supporting career development plans.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience.
  • Specialization in Data Science/AI highly regarded.
  • Solid experience with Apache Spark, SQL databases, NLP techniques, computer vision algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow or PyTorch), semi-supervised learning techniques, and data programming approaches.
  • Proficient in Python or R programming languages as well as web development technologies (CSS/HTML/JS).
  • Demonstrated ability to deploy scalable solutions on cloud services like AWS or Azure using Docker containers.
  • Proven track record of API development proficiency along with experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHD Degree is a plus
  • Active CDC/NACI clearance

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
