Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Information Related Activities (IRA) Planner to perform duties in the CJTF-OIR Joint Operations Center (JOC) for integration and synchronization with CJTF-OIR staff, subordinate units, and associated joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multi-national (JIIM) partners. The JOC IRA planner is expected to be a conduit for Information Operations for the CJTF-OIR, ensuring all information is submitted across the Information Related Activities (IRAs) to be able to integrate within all plans of operations for mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessment of Information Operations.

 

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Review, analyze, and operationalize operational and tactical level IO-related directives in support of CJTF-OIR mission objectives and operate independently developing reports, and briefings.
  • Work as a member of Current Operations (CUOPS) team on the JOC floor to coordinate, integrate and synchronize IRAs capabilities in support of Current Operations.
  • Utilitze your IO subject matter expert (SME) knowledge to work independently providing a timely flow of relevant information by providing daily reports, collecting, sharing, disseminating, and completing tasks assigned.
  • Utilize information system platforms Command and Control Information Environment (C2IE) and Rocket Chat rooms, providing senior leaders a comprehensive knowledge of current events with information inputs for key task, high impact assignments to provide information in support for Commander’s Critical Information Requirements (CCIR’s) for Commanders to make sound timely decisions.
  • conduct open-source research and understand open-source (social media) intelligence.

This Position is a deployed unaccompanied one-year assignment to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

 

NOTE: The position will entail work on Camp Arifjan, however the individual will reside in corporate-provided housing on-the-economy, off-base. Transportation to and from base also provided.

 

Work hours are rotating shifts including night shift.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of IRA planning experience.
    • May consider an additional six years of relevant experience or Associates degree and four years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Broad Experience and knowledge of information operations (IO), military deception (MILDEC), operations security (OPSEC), electronic warfare (EW), and cyberspace operations, military information support operations (MISO) missions, tasks, and overall warfighting functions that support operations, understand how to integrate these capabilities, and be capable of synchronizing activities of mutual concern.
  • Experience in conducting open-source research and understanding open-source (social media) intelligence.
  • Prior experience working in a Joint Operations Center
  • Army/Joint Targeting, IPB, and COG analysis process as well as a general understanding of Army Training doctrine and procedures.
  • Knowledge in JOPP, MDMP, and MCPP planning and targeting processes and expertise in developing and assessing tactical and operational level IO plans and orders.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years of experience with IO planning at the service or joint level, working that support operations with Combatant Commands or Joint Task Forces.
  • Experience with integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations, as well as developing support for related capabilities and their activities. Be familiar with, certified in, or have applicable operational/field time experience in:
    • Military Information Support Operations (MISO) / (formerly Psychological Operations (PSYOP))
    • Military Deception (MILDEC)
    • Operations Security (OPSEC)
    • Cyberspace and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA)
    • Cyberspace Operations
    • Electronic Warfare (EW)
    • Intel Support to Information Operations including open-source research activities
  • Ability to engage senior JIIM leaders and staff and conduct operational and informational briefings to a large audience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess a U.S. Passport with at least two years minimum left on expiration.
  • Requires a Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI). 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. FA30/P4 Information Operations and/or Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Planner PSYOP (37A/37F) career field graduates
  2. Recent Joint or Service Level Information Operations planning experience working in a JOC in an austere environment – deployed previously in CCMD AOR is highly desired; experience with IW/SOF.
  3. Ability to work effectively within a task organized working group and expertise with planning, integrating, and coordinating with inter-agency and intelligence community entities. Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
