The Space and Intelligence Sector is seeking a Senior-level Systems Engineer to work within our dynamic Enterprise Engineering team in Chantilly, VA.  The Enterprise Engineering team supports the Government by providing systems engineering and integration support for NGA’s Sensor Integration (TIS) Office.  This team provides strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.  Candidate will be performing a Risk Management role and must have risk management experience.

 

Sensor Program Risk Management includes but is not limited to:

  • Representing the Sensor Product Development Teams at the Enterprise and Joint Risk forums and boards, 
  • Establishing best practices and coordinating implementation of relevant risk management frameworks across several technology aligned risk teams.
  • Performing risk evaluations, assessments, and assist in risk mitigation plans.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of four years with no degree, or two years with a non-STEM degree. 
  • 12+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and strong understanding of the systems engineering life cycle.
  • Experience with governance of the Risk Management process.
  • Experience with risk identification, assessment and mitigation planning.
  • Experience maintaining a Risk Register and using Risk Management tools such as Jira and Tableau.
  • Experience facilitating and managing forums such as TEMs (Technical Exchange Meetings), Risk Working Groups (RWG), and Risk Management Boards (RMB).
  • Working experience with NGA/NRO joint integration activities.
  • Working knowledge of NGA IPO infrastructure.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
