The Space and Intelligence Sector is seeking a Senior-level Systems Engineer to work within our dynamic Enterprise Engineering team in Chantilly, VA.  The Enterprise Engineering team supports the Government by providing systems engineering and integration support for NGA’s Sensor Integration (TIS) Office.  This team provides strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.  Candidates must have experience integrating spectral data into spectral exploitation tools.

 

Duties may include:

  • Provides expert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.
  • Assists the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
  • Assists the Government in performing systems integration activities.
  • Assists with the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
  • Assists the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.
  • Lead the establishment of an integrated PED environment for spectral exploitation intended for image scientists to employ advanced tradecraft tools to process, analyze, and exploit literal and non-literal datasets.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of four years with no degree, or two years with a non-STEM degree. 
  • 12+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and strong understanding of the systems engineering life cycle.
  • 3+ years of experience integrating sensor programs into large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • 3+ years of NGA program/project work experience.
  • Experience integrating spectral data into spectral exploitation tools.
  • Experience integrating solutions using Cloud-based technologies.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
