Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for our Azure AI Infrastructure Specialist position on the DHS DCCO program. This role is responsible for all phases of development and modernization  in support of a government multi-cloud environment with 50+ customer tenants and growing. This person must have extensive experience architecting robust infrastructure that supports various AI solutions, deploying those solutions across the platform, and providing ongoing support for tenants using the environment.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and enhance a scalable infrastructure platform in Microsoft Azure to support AI workloads
  • Implement best practices for Azure cloud architecture, security, scalability, and performance
  • Integrate and configure services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and other AI-related tools
  • Implement and deploy Azure AI solutions across the platform to meet tenant requirements
  • Collaborate with development and data science teams to operationalize machine learning models and AI services
  • Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines with GitLab/GitLab CI or similar tools
  • Continuously monitor the health, performance, and security of the AI platform using tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel
  • Support tenants in troubleshooting, optimizing workloads, and resolving issues as they onboard and scale within the environment
  • Provide ongoing platform support and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests
  • Identify areas for performance improvement in the AI infrastructure and purpose optimization solutions
  • Implement patching, updates, and enhancements to ensure the platform remains current and secure
  • Develop automation scripts to manage cloud infrastructure and improve operational efficiency

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years experience or high school diploma/GED with 12+ years experience. 
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience directly related work in area of expertise
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building and monitoring Azure Infrastructure.
  • Experience implementing Azure AI/ML solutions and model deployment
  • Familiarity with managing systems in the cloud and infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with AI/ML Frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
  • Certifications in the following: Azure Solutions Architect and Azure Machine Learning or equivalent AI/ML certification.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
