The team is seeking a Software Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit located in Annapolis Junction, MD on TTO 18. The team supports multiple products that automate manual tasks so that mission customers can focus on more complex issues. The team employs Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to ensure that high-quality, reliable software is delivered to the customer. The position is to be performed at contractor facility which allows for flexible work schedules. In addition, the opportunity for teleworking is available based on tasking and customer approval. Implements, tests, and operates advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture. Performs on-going security testing and code review to improve software security. Troubleshoots and debugs issues that arise. Provides engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Contributes to all levels of the architecture and maintains technical documentation. Consults team members on secure coding practices. Develops a familiarity with new tools and best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with the following:
Docker, Mongo, Nginx, JavaScript, Git, Linux
HTML/CSS and other front end technologies
Account Management and access control
API implementation
Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Four (4) years demonstrated experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products such as Hbase/Accumulo, Big Table, et cetera.
At least three (3) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5)operating systems.
Demonstrated experience developing RESTful services.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required
