Responsibilities

Ready to make an impact? We are seeking an Information Assurance Analyst at Vandenberg Spaceforce Base (SFB), CA to support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) operations, maintenance and sustainment activities associated with the Eastern/Western Range Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) Contract. The Information Assurance Analyst position helps ensure cyber systems are secure and in compliance with Department of Defense cyber hygiene policies.

 

The Information Assurance Analyst will be responsible for the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Perform Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
  • Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments and develop documentation and reports.
  • Develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for non-compliant security controls.
  • Develop policies, plans and procedures, including Incident Response, Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations and Cybersecurity Implementation Plans.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret security clearance. 
  • BS/BA degree and 2 years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience; in lieu of degree, 6 years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience is allowable. 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls and policies.
  • Possess active Information Assurance Management (IAM) I certification (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE)
  • Experience conducting Information Systems vulnerability assessments, risk mitigation, and Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) development and tracking.

Desired Experience:

  • Have knowledge or experience with Vandenberg Spaceforce Base (VSFB) and/or Missile Defense Agency (MDA) systems.
  • Have experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Have experience with one or more of the following:
    • Vulnerability management and tools such as ACAS.
    • Endpoint Security concepts and tools.
    • Security Intelligence and Event Management (SIEM) concepts and tools
  • Have strong verbal and written communications skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Self-driven and results oriented, capable of effectively working multiples tasks.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
