The Space and Intelligence Sector is seeking a Senior Level (12+ years) Cloud Architect to work within our dynamic engineering team in Springfield or Chantilly VA.  The Enterprise Engineering team supports the Government by providing Model-based systems engineering (MBSE),  Architecture Engineering, Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities from the conceptual design phase and continuing throughout development life cycle phases.  You will be a key member supporting NGA’s Sensor Integration (TIS) Office, providing strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise Architecture.  

 

Senior-level Cloud Architects assist in leading and overseeing the planning and development of cloud services architectures. They ensure analysis of cloud service alternatives are conducted and prioritized to ensure the Government properly architects business and mission solutions using cloud bases systems and services.

 

Duties may include:

  • Assists with leading cultural change for cloud
  • Assists with overseeing development and coordination of cloud
  • Develops cloud strategies and coordinating adoption of cloud-based
  • Guides the work of Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Cloud

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree and 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
  • 12+ years of experience in cloud-based systems.
  • One or more Cloud Certifications to include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Cloud Certified Solutions Architect
    • AWS Certified
    • Cisco Certified Networking Administrator – Cloud
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional – Cloud
    • IBM Certified Cloud Solution Architect
    • MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
    • VMware Certified Professional (VCP7-CMA)
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
