Peraton is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Portal Developer / Software Engineer to support a major multi-year US Special Operations Command Pacific program in Hawaii. Duties and responsibilities include:
 
As a senior Software Engineer, you’ll lead the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of a Program Management Task Order (TO) Portal required to track finances and personnel status’. Selected candidate will draft the Portal requirements and project plan for customer approval and lead the development effort to deploy the portal to the Program Management Team. Selected candidate must have a wide swath of experience as the tool has not been selected yet.  

Day to day responsibilities will include

  • Developing and maintaining the Program Task Order Management portal plan
  • Developing the LEIA Program Management Tool using the base platform the Program Management Team chooses
  • Design, develop, document, test and debug application software using Java, Springboot and other related technologies.
  • Work with both client-side and server-side personnel and components to ensure the process of software development, integration and functionality is seamless.
  • Train the Program Management team on proper use of the portal
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.
  • Design, implement, and manage databases, ensuring efficient and optimized queries for data retrieval and storage.
  • Implement security best practices and protocols to safeguard web applications against potential threats.
  • Collaborate with Program Management team, Scrum Masters, DevSecOps engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions

Qualifications

Requirement:

  • Position requires an active Secret clearance
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of software engineering development experience on host applications and/or embedded processing systems; four years of additional software development experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Expert proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, microservices architecture, the ActiveMQ message broker, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (Angular, React).
  • Strong experience with the version control systems (GitHub) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins).
  • Strong experience with SQL, Python, Bash scripting, Linux and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform).
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber.
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and data modeling.
  • Strong experience with agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, Agile team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Proven track record of innovation and continuous improvement.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
