Cyber Systems Engineering, Advisor

Peraton is looking for a Systems Engineer to perform system engineering services to install, configure, and maintain complex. enterprise systems. Position requires advanced technical knowledge in areas such as networking, Windows and Linux administration, database configuration and administration, virtualization, Amazon Web Services and security.  Candidate will contribute to the design and development of innovative projects in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Candidate will be responsible for:

• Building, maintaining and optimizing systems to support a suite of Cyber analysis tools in AWS
• Supporting developers in deploying/maintaining applications to the Cloud environment

• Active TS required to start (with eligibility for SCI and Poly)
• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA, Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA (equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Forensic Science or related fields accepted in lieu of a degree)
• 4+ years relevant professional experience administering the following technologies:
• Virtualization technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and VMware vSphere
• Proficient in supporting Microsoft and Linux operating systems
• NoSQL and Relational Databases such as MongoDB and MySQL
• Container creation, usage and management using tools such as Docker
• DevOps technologies such as Gitlab for CI/CD workflows
• Web Servers such as Nginx

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with:
  • Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Salt, Terraform, AWS System Manager and Cloudformation
  • Administration of Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MSSQL
  • AWS Load-Balancers, VPCs, NACLs, Security Groups, Routing, AppStream, ECS and RDS
  • Docker Swarm and Kubernetes
  • Active Directory, ADFS, SAML, DNS and Group Policy
  • Python and Shell Scripting
