Responsibilities

 
The customer enviornment is responsible for managing project budget activities with requirements that evolve and change throughout the year. The candidate will support the customer throughout the budgetary cycle including building strategic budget proposals, ensuring appropriate execution actions occur (including consolidating and updating spend plans from individual projects), and facilitate requests for unfunded requirements.
 
Candidate will attend and participate in relevant briefings with customer management, processing both internal and external requests for information, and draft responses to them through various forms of written and verbal communication.
 
The candidate will provide budget integration support to a fast-paced and dynamic customer environment. The candidate will manage day-to-day activities related to financial management of a large high profile portfolio.
 
The candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, and communicate regularly with many independent project leads, customer management, and other programmatic and budget stakeholders. 
 

 

Qualifications

 

TS/SCI W POLY 

 

Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.

 

 

Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of the customer's financial policies and processes, including the customer's financial accounting and reporting system and tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in developing, communicating, and managing a budget and spend plan to include daily maintenance and updating of the spend plan file
  • Long-term budget strategy and Five-Year (FYEP) planning experience
  • Experience tracking daily budget execution status and metrics
  • Experience with various contracts and funding mechanisms commonly found in federal government acquisitions
  • Superior skills in Excel
  • Experience with Cognos, to include setup and use of reporting capabilities
  • High level of organization and accuracy are an absolute must for this position
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment co-located with multiple contractor and customer teammates
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to support the customer's needs, multi-task, work autonomously, and take the initiative to provide creative alternatives to intractable challenges or systemic problems

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
