Release Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a proficient Deployment Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Ansible playbooks for automated deployments of infrastructure and applications, and a strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) environments. You should be comfortable working in both Redhat and Windows environments. This role requires the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks for the automated deployment of infrastructure and applications.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to ensure consistent and reliable deployments.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement scalable and secure deployment processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot deployment issues, ensuring swift resolution to maintain system reliability and performance.
• Continuously improve deployment pipelines and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices in deployment automation.
• Document deployment procedures and provide training and support to other team members.

• 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with Phd
• Proven experience as a Deployment Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with Ansible playbooks for automated deployments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) environments and tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Comfortable working in both Redhat and Windows environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Candidate must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation, RedHat Certified Engineer, Security+).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of security best practices in deployment processes.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
