We are seeking a Satellite Control Network (SCN) Remote Ground Station (RGS) Material Handler in Diego Garcia, BIOT. In support of our Consolidated Air Force Space Command Modifications, Maintenance, and Operations (CAMMO) program.

 

The Material Handler will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

 

  • Responsible for overseeing all activities as they relate to the receiving, storing, distribution, disposal, shipping and inventory of materials, products, and supplies IAW U.S. Air Force Operating Instructions (OIs) and directives
  • Responsible for overseeing all activities relating to Air Force programs to include but not limited to; bench stock, forward supply point management, CA/CRL, Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment management, Air Force Precious metals program
  • Perform all activities and complete all documentation associated with shipping, receiving, turn-in, and accountability of all assigned assets
  • Develop metrics and maintenance data to ensure the effective supply of spares are maintained at Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) Remote Tracking Stations
  • Perform routine inventory and maintain 100% control of all assigned assets
  • Inventory, record and manage Information Technology Equipment Custodian (ITEC) Account (formerly known as ADPE).
  • Ensure vehicles are available and functional; act as Primary or Alternate unit Vehicle Control Officer.
  • Perform operations, preventive maintenance inspections (PMI), and maintenance of assigned SCN mission and non-mission equipment
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs to waist level unassisted; occasionally individual lifting in excess of the 50lbs is required as part of a two person lift for larger items.  Appropriate personal protective equipment will be used

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Active Secret security clearance 
  • Successful candidates should have a high school diploma, graduation from a military or commercial school on logistics or supply management, plus 3 years of experience 
  • Previous experience with Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), Enterprise Supply-Solution (ES-S), bench stock, CA/CRL, Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment management, Air Force Precious metals program.
  • Basic PC and communication skills (written and verbal) are required

Target Salary Range

$39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
