Systems Engineer

We are hiring a Systems Engineer in Belcamp, MD.  This will be a hybrid role with the ability to work on-site 2 days and 3 days from home.  The role will include using a holistic approach, design, develop, evaluate and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensure requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.

What you’ll do: 

• Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support and Retirement.
• Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
• Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288 to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area.
• Will be expected to contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering plans, Initial Capability documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• May be responsible for supervision and mentoring of subordinate staff

What you’ll need: 

• Education: Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
• Active TS with SCI eligibility Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in STEM field
• DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II

Preferred Experience:

• 7 years of experience in DoD systems development
• Experience with use case development
• Experience with requirements derivation
• Experience with developing technical project artifacts
• Familiarity with Agile software development process
• Experience with Software Engineering processes
• Experience with C, C#, C++, SQL, or Java.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GIT.
