Responsibilities

Peraton is actively seeking a seasoned Computer Network Operations Process Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit based in Fort Meade, Maryland. In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting one of the most significant enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community.

This is a full-time position, requiring a commitment of 1880 hours per year, and will be carried out at a customer location. As a Computer Network Operations Process Engineer with our team, your responsibilities will encompass providing specialized expertise in process engineering to contribute to a spectrum of crucial activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Service Desk Excellence: Undertake a Service Desk role by executing Jira ticket actions and proficiently navigating process workflow actions, including account creation and deletion.
  • Jira Board Management: Create and adeptly manage multiple Jira boards tailored to distinct customer requirements and processes.
  • Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) Support: Contribute to the development and enhancement of Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) processes, elevating organizational resilience.
  • Process Workflow Enhancement: Define and refine process workflows, customizing them for multiple customers and diverse initiatives.
  • Documentation Proficiency: Employ knowledge management repositories such as Confluence to meticulously document existing processes, ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer.
  • Project Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of processes across various Computer Network Operations (CNO) projects, spanning software, sustainment, and advanced technology initiatives.
  • Agile Development Support: Assist in the operation of an agile development process, encompassing the maintenance of agile development tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Strategic Process Improvement: Collaborate on defining robust process improvement strategies, drawing insights from lessons learned to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Education from an accredited school or university is required. Five (5) years' experience with Process Improvement on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Experience is to include, within the past five (5) years, three (3) years of experience in facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices. Four (4) years additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
  • Must have worked in a Service Desk environment, including processing tickets through a workflow and working directly with customers.
  • Must have a decent understanding of COOP.
  • Strong experience with Jira and/or Confluence.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with FSP

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Experience supporting CNO or CCC.
  • Strong background in Knowledge Management
  • Strong experience with workflow and process development

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
