ServiceNow Administrator/Developer

Peraton is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Administrator to engage in a broad range of platform administration, configuration, and development activities as a member of a multi-discipline team. The candidate will join a high performing team to deliver value in a large, complex fast paced environment supporting Peraton’s corporate services. Team is responsible for all facets of support, administration, configuration, and development to meet complex customer needs to deliver value to Peraton’s business functions. Responsibilities and experience with ITSM, ITOM, GRC/IRM, App Engine Studio and CMDB along with Employee Center/Service Portal are desired.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S Computer Science or comparable, can substitute work experience in lieu of degree.
• Five (5) years of experience with the ServiceNow platform as an administrator/developer.     
• Active/Current ServiceNow CSA or above.
• ITSM and ITOM experience, including CMDB and Discovery, with MID server and service portal.
• Experience in web development (HTML, CSS, Angular JS, SQL, JavaScript).
• Experience in ServiceNow development (GLIDE, Business Rules, Client Scripts, sophisticated UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, UI Scripts, APIs).
• Attention to detail and the ability to listen to stakeholder business requirements and translate to a working, maintainable, technical solution.
• Produce tangible deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, projects objectives, within predetermined timelines.)
• Ability to analyze, detect/identify and troubleshoot bugs, fix defects, and support users of application.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, debugging, error log analysis and researching solutions.

• App Engine Studio knowledgeable, custom app development
• XML and HTML
• CMDB Service Mapping
• Virtual Agent/Bot conversations
• IRM/GRC knowledgeable
• Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management
• Determine upgrade and enhancement parameters and implements following test plans to ensure enhancements are tested and debugged.
• Documents and develops procedures.
• ITIL v3 or higher certification

Additional Competencies:

• Must be able to work in a remote team.
• Development of solutions need to consider platform licensing cost and design within budget parameters.
• Creative thinking to design solutions, however solutions to be standard, repeatable, configurations, not highly customized.
• Prioritize, assess, and present options based on time requirements, scope, and cost/licensing considerations.
• Ability to communicate effectively through documentation, email, and conversation, with team and leadership or stakeholders.
• Open willingness to share knowledge and provide mentorship as needed.
• Microsoft Office Suite and related technologies.
