Responsibilities

Are you looking for an Engineer Systems III, SEY3/ Exercise Coordinator role?

 

This is what you'll get to do: 

  • Plan, and coordinate, individual, section and organizational-level exercises as well as joint collective events designed to train cyberspace, information, and space professionals.  
  • Develop and provide cross-functional exercise design and execution for team, unit, and Service battle staffs, inclusive of Active duty, Reserve, Contractor, and Government employs.  
  • Have knowledge of the exercise design process to include Joint Exercise Life Cycle as well as have an understanding of the Joint Lessons Learned system and related concepts.  
  • Support the coordination and execution of exercise operations, mission –rehearsals and assessments and incorporate modeling and simulation, and related cyberspace, information, and space operations exercise requirements as appropriate.
  • Develop exercise design, scripts and the development of exercise scenarios and related Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects, which addresses the following:
    • Develop assessments for use by higher, lateral, and subordinate entities to continue improvement in both planning and execution of assigned mission essential tasks.
    • Exercise designs, must be based on current scenarios, MSELs and emergent intelligence threat information.
    • Integrate the relevant command doctrine
    • Operational after action findings
    • Provide rapid adjustment to emerging real-world tactics, techniques, and procedures.
    • War game and experimentation results
  • Develop reports, briefings, and recommendations to improve exercise and training efficiency and effectiveness, and identification of shortfalls and gaps.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Active/Current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Skills and experience in Microsoft Office computer programs (specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) 
  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA;  0 years with PhD of related experience.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications: 

  • 5 years of experience supporting the planning and development of large-scale exercises using the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC)
  • 5 years of experience with JPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats and guidance as a Joint Operations Planner
  • 5 years of experience leading or materially contributing to the design, planning, organizing, and executing of Combatant Command or Service-Component level Command Post Exercises, Staff Exercises, or Field Training Exercises
  • Demonstrated experience in 4 or more events proving the ability to develop and integrate non-kinetic Information Operation or Cyber activities into training, exercise, rehearsal, testing, and experimentation events.
  • 5 years of experience supporting test and evaluation activities specifically related to service training, Joint training, exercises, experimentation, mission rehearsal, and Combatant Command, service, and agency events.
  • 2 years of experience briefing or delivering training to senior military and civilian leaders
  • 2 years of experience forecasting, documenting, and managing an exercise budget.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
