Responsibilities

 

What you’ll do:

 

The Cloud Engineer is also responsible for the following but not limited to:

 

  • Support on-premises and cloud platforms solutions
  • Analyze, plan, design, and implement security solutions for cloud-native solutions
  • Participate in technical planning meetings to confirm implementation schedule of new solutions.
  • Working with the stakeholder community to determine cloud security requirements. 
  • Develop and documenting requirements for design reviews.
  • Develop implementation approaches and plans to ensure optimum cloud performance and reliability across the servers, networks, and related utilities and hardware that comprise the cloud infrastructure.
  • Conduct analysis and make reliable engineering recommendations to ensure reliability/resiliency of the cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor and reporting on cloud utilization and plan continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

  • U.S. Citizen; eligible for U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 7 years, or master’s degree with 3 to 5 years, or PhD with 1 to 2 years of experience is required; four (4) years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related cloud design, configuration, and implementation experience 
  • Four (4) years of experience as a Cloud Engineer may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Expert knowledge of ADDS, ADFS, Azure AD and Windows Server Operating Systems 2016 & up.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including proven experience effectively communicating technical challenges and solutions to peers, customers, and senior management.
  • Must be a self-starter and take responsibility for completing assignments on time.

 

Preferred Qualification:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience with Remedy or ServiceNow trouble ticketing system.
  • One or more Cloud Certifications
    • AWS Certified
    • Azure Certified
    • Cisco Certified Networking Administrator – Cloud
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional – Cloud

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
