Naval Structures FEA Modeling Engineer

Peraton is hiring a Naval Structures FEA Modeling Engineer who will work full time onsite in West Bethesda, MD.

As a Structuarl Finite Element Analysis Engineer, you will work within a government / contractor team of experts in the analysis of Naval structures.  Our customer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division is the Navy's premier Naval structures analysis organization and this is an opportunity to work with and learn from the world's experts.  

This work includes, but is not limited to:

• Finite Element Modeling of structures
• Structural Dynamics
• Vibrations
• General data processing and analysis

Education and Experience:

BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+.  PhD Preferred  

Requires an Active DoD SECRET Clearance

• Experience using FEA tools such as ABAQUS, NASTRAN, or SIERRA-SD
• Experience using Preprocessors such as HyperMesh, ABAQUS-CAE, CAPSTONE, or CUBIT
• Experience using Python, MATLAB or similar data processing and analysis tools

Desired Experience:  Structural acoustics is a plus
