Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer III

Be part of our exciting team supporting a robust, world-wide communications network, providing office automation packages; document and information management tools; and collaboration, voice, and video tools in a secure, flexible, distributed architecture supporting a classified DoD IT system.  Peraton is seeking a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to provide enterprise VDI services.  Responsibilities include:

• Design, deliver, and optimize VDI Services to improve security, availability, performance, and resource utilization
• Review current VDI infrastructures, architectures, designs, and operations to identify potential improvements for optimizing system performance
• Document security, configuration, and performance benchmarks of VDI services

• BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required
• Proven experience with VMware Virtual Center (vCenter) providing virtual desktop machine environment
• Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE)
• Professional-level VMware certification desired
• ITIL Foundations certification desired
