Senior Cyber Security Developer/Tester

We are searching for a talented Senior Cyber Security Developer/Tester to become part of Peraton’s Agile Cybersecurity Technical Solutions organization. This position will be based in Pensacola, Florida.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

The person filling this role would be responsible for:

• Determining and developing innovative approaches for addressing cyber security risks associated with application development  
• Providing application security guidance to application development teams  
• Performing code review and static/dynamic analysis; identifies and addresses security issues  
• Responsible for the development and use of automated software testing frameworks for large scale security-critical software testing to validate that secure coding best practices are being used  
• Ensuring low-level firmware/software development pushes the bounds of the originally specified intent of the hardware/software.  
• Resolving and mitigating vulnerabilities, designing security functions, and providing evidence-based reasoning to substantiate claims for trustworthy and secure work products  
• Familiarity with OWASP & SANS identified common security coding flaws, threat modeling, and automated & manual static security code analysis  
• Programming experience with a primary programming language (Java, .NET or Python) and SQL and JSON; other programming experience is also beneficial (e.g. Ruby/Rails, Scala, Perl, YAML, HCL)  

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizenship
• Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.
• Bachelor’s degree with twelve or more (12+) years of related experience, Master’s degree with ten or more (10+) years of related experience.
• Current certifications in one or more of the following:  

SECO Institute – Secure Programming Foundation (S-SPF)

SECO Institute – Certified Secure Software Developer (S-CSSD)

ISC2 – Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

ISC2 – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)

SANS GIAC – GWEB (Certified Web Application Defender)

SANS GIAC – GISP (Information Security Professional)

EC-Council – Certified Application Security Engineer Java (CASE JAVA)

EC-Council - EC-Council Certified Application Security Engineer .Net (CASE .Net)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in using the Remedy and ServiceNow ITSM tools  
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite  
• Exceptional communication skills  
• Demonstrated experience and problem-solving abilities to assist customers with a variety of queries  
• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment  
• Effective written and oral communication skills  
• Experience troubleshooting and triaging network events  
• Experience Developing and maintaining technical diagrams to illustrate system architecture and dataflows  
• Demonstrated experience managing and leading team activities  
• Network+

• SAFe Agilist  
• Linux certifications (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator/SUSE Certified Systems Administrator)  
• Knowledge testing procedures and automated testing tools  

• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, 800-171
