Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Functional Specialist Advisor who will focus on user-facing support for the Analysis Services Integrated Program Office to assist the Government with familiarizing users with the applications and services being developed and deployed, gathering user needs and requirements, and integrating new capabilities into the to-be architecture. Candidates must have a strong Intelligence and/or Geospatial analysis background, and a working knowledge of the analyst workflow. CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required to provide face to face interaction with users.

Overall Assignment Description:  

Senior-level Functional Specialist Advisors are responsible for leading the development of program and project integration solutions across the enterprise and determining integration/interface requirements.  They work with systems engineers, solutions architects and programmers to ensure applications and systems interoperate to deliver end-to-end mission solutions and maintain the integrity of the system-of-system enterprise. 

Duties include:

  • Provides an enterprise perspective including understanding of GEOINT mission, data, and IT relationships, dependencies and requirements of analysis material and non-material solutions
  • Plans, coordinates, and documents solutions to total systems or subsystems using internally created and/or commercial off-the-shelf products
  • Analyzes, designs, tests, and evaluates GEOINT systems for analytics, exploitation, mensuration, workflow orchestration, and reporting
  • Plans and coordinates analysis management practices
  • Assists Government in managing enterprise planning, mission integration, development efforts, moves or modernization changes including analysis, planning, IT and cloud requirements, and other factors
  • Oversees the work of Mid and Junior-level Functional Specialist Advisors

Skills and Experience:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Image Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or other related degree program or and Additional 4 years equivalent Senior level working experience in an engineering field in lieu of a degree. Bachelor’s in Business Administration will be accepted on a case by case basis.
  • Minimum of a TS/SCI eligible with Poly
  • Demonstrated experience providing guidance and direction in high technology programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership to the client and/or project team based on specialized in-depth expertise in such fields as:
    • engineering and technology
    • policy and administration
    • program management planning
    • analysis
    • training and development
    • facilities
    • communications
    • visual design
    • human capital
    • business

Desired:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Image Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or other related degree program.
  • Experience in engineering, design and analysis of IT or related systems experience in all phases of design, development, analysis and documentation, and development of standards and guidelines for tasks being performed.
  • Experience working with DoD/IC Acquisition Process or PPBES.
  • Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with:
    • Project Management software (Project, Primavera)
    • Financial tracking software
    • Customer relationship management CRM software.
    • Enterprise resource planning ERP software.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
