Senior-level Sensor Integration Systems Engineers employ a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, reliability, resiliency, services development, research and development, integration, test, and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across CAP/SAP architectures to ensure timely and accurate products.
Duties include:
- Conduct studies to evaluate innovative concepts and revolutionary technologies for applications.
- Determine state of the art, operational or technical feasibility to meet requirements.
- Identify and create plans to drive optimization.
- Prepare and review RFI responses to identify innovative and new technologies to prototype and transition.
- Participate as advisors in demonstrations, prototype efforts, technology risk mitigators and source selection activities.
- Analyze and assess special topics; prepare technical recommendations.
- Define repeatable processes and procedures for transitioning new technologies and integrating new applications.
- Document agreements with mission partners (SLAs, MOAs, MOUs)
- Prepare and maintain a dependency matrix.
- Identify risks and provide recommendations for mitigation planning.
- Create strategic roadmaps to resolve potential gaps and manage costs.
- Provide input to PMO strategic roadmaps and systems engineering products to help ensure program rigor, resolve potential gaps, drive cross-cutting integration, ensure data is protected appropriately, and ensure mission capabilities are met.
- Provide cross-domain integration with mission partners and industry performers to ensure successful implementation of KPMO programs.
- Create and maintain standards and specifications.
- Provide RFC support to include the full breadth of NGA and mission partners requirements coordination meetings and initiatives to transition R&D capabilities.
- Define CONOPS and metrics to evaluate algorithms.
- Develop a CONOPS and integrate new technologies into the overall CONOPS to accommodate new data sources.
- Collaborate with end users and create use cases at multiple security levels.
- Develop test plans to demonstrate implementation of multi-level security networks and systems, cyber security protection activities, and identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in developing and implementing corrective and remediation actions for information assurance / cyber security-related deficiencies.
- Conduct security assessments, audits, vulnerability analyses and scans, accreditation evaluations, and other formal information security-related evaluations to ensure the cutting-edge information assurance measures support program requirements.
- Assist the programs in correctly demonstrating information security-related tools and integrating them to the infrastructure as directed.
- Manage the overall system transition process across the compendium of programs, project, pilots, and initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of external system tests and evaluate potential impacts.
- Produce test and transition-related inputs to the PMO requirements baseline.
- Develop, articulate, and validate use cases; develop and execute test and training plans.
- Assist with updates to the Portfolio Management Plan and Program Management Plans.
- Develop and maintain System Engineering Plans and System Engineering Management Plans.
- Develop Testing and Evaluation Plans to assess the overall performance of algorithms and tools.
- Define CONOPS and metrics to evaluate algorithms.
- Assist in the evaluation of proposed industry solutions.
