Responsibilities

We are hiring a Senior Database Architect. The person who fills this role will be expected to perform the following:

 

 

  • Provide support in mission applications planning and strategy by focusing on functional applications capabilities and maturity
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models to support data warehouse and data analytics solutions, incorporating industry best practices and standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define data models, and establish data management processes that enable effective decision-making and analytics
  • Develop data model structures for the data visualization platforms that allow for standardized reporting, tracking of the recruiting processes, and more rigorous or strategic-level analysis use cases
  • Design and develop business intelligence tools using the designated BI platform to meet reporting requirements
  • Understand customer needs, services and core missions and match them with best-in-class technology and processes
  • Lead and participate in key discussions around program changes from both business and technical requirements perspectives
  • Collaborate with Government leadership and industry partners to help identify and drive innovative solutions resulting in overall improved performance and cost reductions.

Qualifications

Candidates will have the following experience:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, and a minimum of 10 years (MS 10, Phd 7) of experience in IT with 4 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or data management
  • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7
  • Experience with AWS Cloud
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Ability to function in an agile DevSecOps environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data management best practices
  • Familiarity with various data storage and processing technologies, such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively manage stakeholder relationships
  • DoD Secret Clearance 

 

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell and Bash
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
