The Space and Intelligence Sector is seeking a Mid-level (6+ years) Systems Engineer to work within our dynamic Sensor Integration team in either Springfield or Chantilly VA.  The Sensor Integration team supports the Government by providing systems engineering and integration support for NGA’s Sensor Integration (TIS) Office.  This team provides strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.  This position is within our NSG Radar Ground (NRG) program. You will be working within a team providing strategic and innovative solutions for integrating radar data, products, analytic services, etc. within the Enterprise.  As a member of our team, you will have the chance to work with customers that are both Government, industry leaders and technology innovators.

Skills and Experience:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 additional years with no degree or 2 additional years with a non-STEM degree.
  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
  • 6+ years of working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • 6+ years of experience working systems engineering in government or industry.

Desired:

  • Analyst/analytical background.
  • Experience with requirements decomposition.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate Systems engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Membership or active participation in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
