Peraton requires Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and  common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Applies virtualization technologies such as VMware Horizon and Citrix XenDesktop.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains VDI solutions.
  • Identifies and resolves performance issues in VDI solutions.
  • Implements and maintains secure VDI configurations.
  • Work in a team environment and collaborate with other engineers, administrators, and stakeholders.
  • Communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analyzes complex problems and develops innovative solutions to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Adapts new technologies and best practices.
  • Some positions may require working a non-traditional work schedule to support the needs of the customer.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS and 2-4 years experience, or MS and 0-2 years experience or HS and 8-10 years experience. 

    Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Experience with IT service management practices and a deep understanding of VDI architecture and best practices.
  • Familiarity with government and industry security standards, such as NIST and FedRAMP
  • Expertise in a systems (e.g., compute systems, cloud, security, etc.) or application programming language (e.g., Java, C++)
  • Expertise in data structures and relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostGres)
  • Working knowledge of network and information exchange technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, RESTful, SOAP, HTTP), System Engineering processes and techniques
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Certification(s): DoD 8570.01-M IAT II
  • Clearance: TS/SCI

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
