Responsibilities

Peraton requires a Training Specialists to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and  common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitates the execution of all training programs.
  • Plans, designs, and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel using the PADDIE methodology. Formulates teaching outlines and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
  • Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
  • Collaborates with sales, marketing, and engineering to identify program needs, obtain technical data and schedules programs.
  • Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Confers with management, employees, and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
  • Develops training in support of Automation Infusion Team activities to facilitate rapid user adoption of delivered automation innovations.
  • May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.
  • Some positions may require working a non-traditional work schedule to support the needs of the customer.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS and 8-10 years experience, or MS and 6-8 years experience, or PhD and 3-5 years experience. 

    Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with stakeholders to formulate and develop teaching outlines, instructional methods, and student content.
  • Proven experience developing teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
  • Certifications: DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II, ITIL 4 foundation
  • Clearance: TS/SCI

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
