SITEC - Server Hardware Engineer

Peraton requiresServer Hardware Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network
Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and  common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Evaluates reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production
• Plans, designs, and develops electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, optical systems and/or DSP systems.
• Under general direction, designs and develops equipment, processes and systems that involve data networks, communications, and display.
• Analyzes equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design.
• Determines feasibility from technical and economic perspectives.
• Coordinates and consults with research engineers or scientists and customer representatives to resolve design problems.
• Develops and maintains technical procedures, documentation, and manuals.
• Compiles and analyzes operational data and directs tests to establish standard for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes.
• Supervises the work of technicians and technologists who provide technical support.
• Monitors and controls assigned computer systems.
• Maintains records regarding system operation and supply inventories and assists in manipulating system controls to continue operations when individual units of a system malfunction.
• Works on most aspects of computer operations and may require some instruction and guidance from senior administrators.

• Some positions may require working a non-traditional work schedule to support the needs of the customer.

Required qualifications:

• BS Degree and 2-4 years experience, or MS Degree and 0-2 years experience, or HS Diploma and 8-10 years experience.

  OR 4 years of additional experience in lieu of BS

• At least three years of experience in engineering or operating computer systems.
• Certification(s): DoD 8570.01-M IAT II
• Clearance: TS/SCI
