SITEC - Common Operations Picture Communications Planner - Global Command & Control System

Peraton requires a COP Communications Planner - GCCS to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network
Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and  common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides management, system administration, planning, and operational support for C2 servers and client assets, including Microsoft Windows, UNIX/Solaris, and Linux/Red Hat systems
• Administers and provides technical support for assets employed at approved global locations
• Performs project management, including Configuration Management (CM) using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and others
• Ensures cybersecurity compliance for GCCS FoS assets
• Performs any necessary actions required to respond to problem reports
• Conducts system, security, and operational testing/evaluations
• Provides support for fielding of future releases
• Ensures personnel and contractors are trained on the GCCS FoS and maintain an ongoing training program
• Manages and administers the Radiant Mercury Cross Domain Solution (CDS) or other designated CDS in support of the GCCS mission
• Plans, designs, and implements system backup and recovery operations on GCCS FoS assets.
• Provides management, system administration, planning, and operational support for C2 client assets, including Microsoft Windows systems
• Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission

• Some positions may require working a non-traditional work schedule to support the needs of the customer.

Required qualifications:

• BS Degree and 5-7 Years experience, or MS degree and 3-5 years experience, or PhD and 0-2 years experience.

  Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education. 

• At least 4-7 years of related experience of intensive and progressive experience in the candidate’s field of study and specialization
• Working knowledge of network and information exchange technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, RESTful, SOAP, HTTP)
• Familiarity with system engineering processes and techniques
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Experience with GCCS Family of Systems (FOS)
• Level-2 GCCS-J Installation and System Administration certifications required
• Certification(s): DoD 8570.01-M IAT II
• Clearance: TS/SCI

Desired qualifications:

•  ITIL 4 Foundations, AND Red Hat Linux/Unix Engineer, Linux Professional Institute Professional LIPC-1 certifications
