Responsibilities

Peraton requires a Cloud Hosted Services Lead to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network
Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and  common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Overall responsibility operate & maintain workloads into managed services
• Implements virtualization and containerization technologies, such as VMware and Docker.
• Applies security requirements and best practices, including secure network design, encryption, access controls, and data protection.
• Leads cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. They should also have experience managing and mentoring technical staff.
• Communicates with technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as lead discussions and negotiate compromises.
• Analyzes complex problems and develop innovative solutions to meet the SOCOM needs
• Aligns technology solutions with business goals and objectives.
• Adapts to new technologies and best practices.
• Works with agile software development methodologies, IT service management, and a deep understanding of enterprise architecture concepts and practices.
Represents USSOCOM and interfaces with software and hardware vendors for support issues.
• Support the hybrid multi-cloud by following strict security protocols (including IAM, data encryption, and governance and management policies), developing a migration plan, developing interconnectivity with legacy systems, integrating monitoring and reporting tools.

• Some positions may require working a non-traditional work schedule to support the needs of the customer.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • BS Degree and 10-12 years of experience, or MS Degree and 8-10 years of experience, or Phd and 5-7 years of experience.

    Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Demonstrated leadership and project mgt skills
  • Experience onboarding workloads from multi-cloud environments into managed services
  • Experienced in cloud ops
  • Strong understanding of AWS and Azure core service
  • At least 8 years of experience designing and reviewing IT solutions for data center and enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with site-specific logistics and technical challenges in a dynamic functional, management, and technical environment.
  • Experience working on a global-based, enterprise-wide project communicating with local and long-distance Government personnel
  • Certification(s): DoD 8570.01-M IAT II
  • TS/SCI clearance

Desired qualifications:

  • ITIL 4 Foundations certification
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA), or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
