Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit has a need for an experienced Systems Engineer to support its SITE III DO contract charged with the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of mission critical applications and services supporting a major Directorate within the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). The SITE III DO contract is designed to establish and ensure a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National apparatus of Defense Intelligence, Combatant Commands, supporting Partner Nations and other Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate Human Intelligence (HUMINT) collection, correlation and dissemination.  Our support team applies best practices in architecture design, data science, cloud services, DevSecOps and platform integration to develop, sustain and continually evolve the global U.S. human intelligence apparatus and supporting partners.

 

What you'll do:

The Systems Engineer – Mid Level will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Using a holistic approach, design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle
  • Establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development
  • Design interfaces and brings system elements together, so they work as a whole
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
  • Participate in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts
  • Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation
  • Implement DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Artifactory
  • Perform security hardening, patching and server certificate updates.
  • Work with Cloud technologies
  • Develop documentation for System Installation Plans and System Administration Guides

Qualifications

BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5

 

Required qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in related field of study with 8 or more years of experience. Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD
  • TS/SCI with ability to pass a polygraph
  • Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active
  • Experience work with the AWS Cloud (EC2s, S3, RDS, ElasticCache)
  • Linux Sysadmin experience
  • Server certificates
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Artifactory
  • Full time work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience working with OpenShift, Keycloak, PostgreSQL, Ansible, Wildfly
  • Experience working with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Wildfly, Docker, Maven
  • Experience implementing STIG hardening, CI/CD pipelines
  • Leading an Agile scrum team
  • Managing multiple environments (dev, test and prod)
  • Active TS/SCI w/Poly

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
