Mid-level General Maintenance Worker

Peraton is seeking a skilled Mid-level General Maintenance Worker to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, or vehicle servicing. Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including mowing, trimming, weeding, aerating and fertilizing lawns; replaces plants as needed. Performs other outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required. Operates vacuum cleaners, strippers, buffers and mop wringers; uses mops, brooms, brushes, soap, cleaning fluid, floor wax and other material related to cleaning. Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required. The employee may frequently be required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust security clearance 
• Must have a High School diploma or GED and 2-4 Years experience 
• Must be willing to work shifts as needed 

Preferrred Qualifications: 

• Must have attention to detail 
• Must be willing to work in all types of weather
