Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit has a need for an experienced Requirements Engineer to support its SITE III DO contract charged with the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of mission critical applications and services supporting a major Directorate within the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). The SITE III DO contract is designed to establish and ensure a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National apparatus of Defense Intelligence, Combatant Commands, supporting Partner Nations and other Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate Human Intelligence (HUMINT) collection, correlation and dissemination.  Our support team applies best practices in architecture design, data science, cloud services, DevSecOps and platform integration to develop, sustain and continually evolve the global U.S. human intelligence apparatus and supporting partners.

 

 

What you'll do:

The Requirements Engineer – Senior Level will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

 

  • The Requirements Engineer will document, analyze and review software requirements for a large software development team responsible for development, test, installation, customer interface and O&M activities for several applications supporting the classification of data and documents.
  • Responsible for interfacing with multiple stakeholders to assess and understand the requirements to ensure that user stories are consistent and applicable across all products.
  • Responsible for overseeing functional and non-functional requirements for multiple products within the project team.
  • Primary duties include managing and verifying requirements; capturing detailed descriptions of user needs and product functionality; and ensuring the project team has clear, consistent, and testable requirements documented in user stories and completion criteria.
  • Reconcile conflicts; decompose high-level information into the appropriate level of detail for team members; and participate in peer reviews of requirements documentation.

BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in related field of study with 10 or more years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • TS/SCI with ability to pass a polygraph
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high visibility environment
  • Full time work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in an Agile scrum team developing and refining user stories
  • Use of requirements tools such as Jira
  • Experience working with the functional customer and end users to elicit requirements and support prioritization
  • Experience working with the developers to help translate requirements, so they understand what to build
  • Supporting user engagement meetings, sprint reviews, sprint demos and In-plant Acceptance Tests.
  • Active/Current TS/SCI w/Poly

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
