Responsibilities

Senior-level Digital Engineering (DE) Enterprise Engineer responsible for leading systems engineering & integration of the NGA DE architecture, governance, and adoption across user organizations.  Develops and manages the DE Roadmap, capturing the phased implementation of the DE ecosystem (data, infrastructure, tools, user adoption, technology growth). Organizes and leads the monthly DE User Engagement Forum, bringing together a diverse set of organizations/users to educate, inform, and garner interest in DE.  Leads systems engineering for the integration of new Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASoTs), spanning engineering, contract, finance, security, and other data.  Provides critical systems engineering leadership to the SAFe Agile DE Program Increment Planning Events, developing Features and User Stories, performing Backlog Grooming, and participating throughout the Program Increment lifecycle.  Leads complex DE systems engineering tasks (e.g., DE Data Classification).  Participates in Joint Agency DE working groups, developing integrated solutions to leverage DE for joint enterprise engineering, milestone events, and reporting to Oversight.  Drives User adoption of DE, through DE Use Case development and implementation, establishment of DE knowledge sharing portals, and DE campaign materials.

Duties include:

  • Provides a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components.
  • Plans, coordinates, and documents solutions to total systems or subsystems using internally created and/or commercial off-the-shelf products.
  • Analyses, designs, tests, and evaluates network systems such as Cloud Resident computing capabilities, satellite networks, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems ranging from a connection between two offices in the same building to a globally distributed network of systems.
  • Plans and coordinates data management practices to treat and handle data as a resource.
  • Assists Government in managing system development efforts, moves or modernization changes including analysis, telecommunications (LAN, WAN, voice, video), planning, cabling, IT and cloud requirements, network security measures, and other factors.
  • Oversees the work of Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Integration Engineers.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program. A minimum of 12 years of experience as a Digital Engineering Enterprise Engineer will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Senior-level working experience in government or industry in data base management or Big Data analysis.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
