We are seeking an IT Service Management (ITSM) Developer with ServiceNow/BMC Remedy experience to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals at Offutt AFB. Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets. The selected individual must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI – or a minimum of a Secret security clearance is required to start work on-site for this contract. This position will support our Government Department of Defense portfolio located on-site at Offutt AFB. 

 

What you'll do:

The successful ITSM Developer will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining all Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes, work instructions and activities.  As a key member of our team, you will be involved in the analysis, design, development, deployment, installation, configuration, customization, troubleshooting & tuning of the ITSM customer support application in production, test, and development environments.

  • Develop SQL queries and reports for management on KPIs to improve the process effectiveness, efficiency, and data accuracy
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing and acceptance phases
  • Diagnose and repair problems within the ITSM/Remedy system
  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of ITSM/Remedy Action Request System and Customer Support Application in production, test, and development environments
  • Assist users in the operation of the application and provides training for users as required
  • Support design, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data
  • Design applications to meet performance requirements, ensure security requirements are met, test software thoroughly, integrate/install software into the production environment
  • Properly configure the ITSM/Remedy applications to maintain integration integrity
  • Prepare and designs technical and Configuration Management documentation and make charts and graphs to record results
  • Participate in requirement’s review, design review, integration readiness review, and software acceptance review
  • Work with IT to develop administration, backup, security, and maintenance plans for both production and test Remedy environments

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years, Master's degree with 6-8 years, PhD with 3-5 years of experience. 12+ years relevant work/military experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Must hold at minimum, active/current DoD Secret clearance. Top Secret preferred with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI
  • ITSM developer experience (i.e. Service Now, Remedy)

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Current or previous experience with BMC Remedy software development
  • Experience and knowledge with the following: ITIL®, Red Hat, NetTerrain, CMDB, SQL
  • Understanding of ITIL® Framework processes and concepts
  • Experience in asset and configuration management as well as knowledge of ITIL® service management processes including change, release, and deployment management

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
