Responsibilities

This opening is for a recently awarded program that delivers a wide set of capabilities across the enterprise to include data management, data delivery, high ingest rate cloud architectures, and analytic platforms. 

 

The Cloud Systems Administrator II will be responsible for the following:

  • Network troubleshooting experience including but not limited to use of ping, traceroute, tcpdump
  • Hardware troubleshooting skills including recovery from hardware failure
  • Understanding of the DHCP handshake process and pxe boot process
  • Understanding of managing a distributed environment including familiarity pdsh
  • Working knowledge of network backup solutions
  • Configuration and management of syslog
  • Basic Unix experience with account creation, pki, data storage and management
  • Virtual host creation, management experience
  • Shell scripting experience preferred languages are python, perl, bash
  • NDS and F5 BigIP DNS management experience

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience RedHat/CentOS command line experience
  • 5+ years of experience Linux/Unix networking experience (nmap, tcpdump, firewalls)
  • 5+ years of experience RedHat/CentOS kickstart/provisioning experience (Setting it up)
  • 2+ years of experience RedHat DNS Administration (DNS, hosts files, DHCP)
  • Cloudera Admin Certification or equivalent  
  • Bachelors Degree in Technical Field 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced networking experience with routing protocols, network diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • HDFS experience
  • F5 experience/certification
  • Virtualization experience

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
