Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a mid-level Security Administrator to provide Peraton employees and their clients/partners with program security support and facilitate compliance of a high-visibility SAP program in Landover, Maryland. The position is an onsite position.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Administers and coordinates DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
  • Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, physical security to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction and disposition of classified material.
  • Reviews applications for security clearances prepared by the Security Assistant. May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.
  • Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification and safeguard of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.
  • Develops and conducts security briefings and security education programs.
  • Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information.
  • Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications.
  • Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.
  • Manages the continuing eligibility program for employees.
  • Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures. Knowledge of DOD, DOE or other industrial security programs.

Qualifications

  • 9 years of SAP Program Security work (Required)

  •  

    ISP Certification and or/ Security Professional Education Development (SPED) certification (Required)

  •  

    Maintaining accountability of all security related activities

  •  

    Ensure all security training is completed

  •  

    Collaborate with the government PSO to ensure security responsibilities are clearly defined

    and adhered to in accordance with all security regulations.

  • 5+ years of security office administration and/or facility security experience with a bachelors degree. Additional work expereince may be considered in lieu of degree. 
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Must possess a high level of understanding of government security related policies, procedures, and initiatives (32 CFR Part 117, ICD 704, ICD 705, Trusted Workforce 2.0).
  • Basic knowledge of intrusion detection systems, access control devices and TEMPEST requirements.
  • Ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance in non-routine situations.
  • Ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security.
  • Proficient written and verbal communications skills with emphasis on clear and concise presentation of complex information.
  • Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a dynamic environment.
  • Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
