Skillbridge Intern

At Peraton, we're partnering with our Armed Forces to provide information, mentoring and employment opportunities for Veterans that are transitioning into the Private Sector after selflessly serving our Nation. The Department of Defense has implemented the Skillbridge Intern program to provide Veterans with opportunities to gain "civilian experience" before they actually end their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline and energy, and Peraton understands the significant value of hiring Veterans.

The Skillbridge Intern will develop an understanding of how firms operating in the Information Technology (IT) Environment, conceive and develop solutions and technologies to solve client problems. Specifically, each candidate will develop their acumen in the areas of IT infrastructure and installation development planning, project development, design execution, and operation of IT environment solutions.

This opportunity requires on-site support at Offutt AFB, supporting US Strategic Command (STRATCOM).  Peraton provides IT support for enterprise and mission systems.  By joining Peraton on the ITCC II contract, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with several teams across multiple technology areas, including, but not limited to:

Windows Server, End User Provisioning, Virtualization, Networking, Linux, Cloud and Automation, Project Management, Configuration Management, Cyber Security and Logistics.

• US Citizenship
• At least 4 years of industry or military experience
• Interest or experience in IT career fields
• TS/SCI

Desired Expericnce/Certifications:

• Top Secret Security Clearance
• College degree
• Approved application to be hired under the Department of Defense Skillbridge Internship program.
• Some form of DoD 8570 certification for IATT 1 or IATT II level work

Additional Requirements:

• Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work and multitask 

• Good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems 
• Good communication skills to communicate with support personnel, customers, and managers 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
