Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Database / Software Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. You will be responsible for the requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software systems. The initial project will be the continued development of an Enterprise tool which tracks international system deployments from start to finish. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year, and work is performed at the customer site.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Seven years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Four years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Security+ Certification (or equivalent).
  • Must have a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Needed skills:

  • Broad experience in the design and implementation of software systems.
  • Experience scripting and utilizing command line capabilities (e.g., CURL).
  • Experience developing with JavaScript (including Node.js, UI frameworks).
  • Experience with various coding language and format capabilities (e.g., Python, JSON).
  • Comfortable developing across the full application stack, from backend through UI.
  • Experience with a diverse technology background to provide oversight.
  • Experience using Containers and the software to manage Containerization.
  • Experience in DevOps for designing and proofing prototypes.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience migrating data between environments on one or more platforms is desirable.
  • Experience creating dashboards/visualization.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
