Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Be part of the Peraton team providing Software as a Service (SaaS) for technical management support and automation to improve operational efficiencies through the ServiceNow Platform, offering IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Business Management (ITBM) and IT Operation Management modules.  Peraton is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to provide physical installation and performance management services for the database software, related application environment components, and of the identified management products supporting the ServiceNow application.  Responsibilities include:

• Install new database versions and apply maintenance fixes supplied by vendor
• Set and tune system parameters
• Tune the operating system, network, and transaction processors to work with the ServiceNow System
• Recommend appropriate storage for the ServiceNow System
• Enable the ServiceNow system to work with storage devices and storage management software
• Support the interface with any other technologies required by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
• Install and manage all other components which interface to include identity management and related web services
• Scan, patch, remediate, and document security vulnerabilities in all databases and related ServiceNow components

• BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+
• Minimum of 10+ years of Database Administration (DBA) experience
• Minimum of 8+ years database design including capacity planning, configuration, migration, performance monitoring, tuning, security, data recovery and troubleshooting
• Proven general knowledge in virtualization and networking, and a working knowledge of MS Project
• Proven experience ensuring compliance with all regulations, upgrades, optimizing the performance of all databases, and supporting future planning
• Oracle DB certification (Oracle Certified Master); Version 12 or above desired
• General knowledge of ITIL and the use of MS Project
• Must possess an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
