Responsibilities

Support Peraton as a System Engineer II. The candidate will join a team of System and Software Engineers who are responsible for repository systems and service products. The candidate will have a primary focus in systems, hardware, and software engineering performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems. Responsibilities also include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, testing and validation of requirements, troubleshooting system issues, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end data flow analysis. In addition, the candidate will need the skills and experience necessary to perform as a Scrum Master with the ability to execute, lead an Agile Development Team.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Outstanding communication skills, ability to collaborate with internal and external teams, technical/project leadership, and customer interfacing experience
  • Proficient in requirements derivation and validation
  • Generation and review of system architecture and design artifacts
  • Experience with clustered and cloud environments
  • Experience interacting with corporate tools for data ingest, query, and visualization
  • Experience as a Scrum Master and the execution of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA Ticketing Tool and Confluence
  • Experience with Section 508 compliance standards
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance and a current polygraph is required

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
