Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development of a variety of software and hardware solutions in support of work in areas of offensive and defensive security. Developers possess a coding foundation in various languages to create tools and techniques, perform code analysis, conduct code manipulation and develop any solution tailored to the area of need.
  • Offensive development duties involve vulnerability research and analysis of identified platforms, reversing engineering threats to determine methods of exploitation, malware research, conducting research on innovating offensive tools and techniques, developing malicious payloads, and manipulating code execution.
  • Defensive development duties are conducted to protect data, networks, net-centric capabilities, and other systems by detecting, identifying, and responding to attacks, or by creating defensive toolsets to identify, monitor, and halt an attack.
  • Researcher duties involve tailored research of various domains of cyber to include various trends, vulnerabilities, or current flaws in software, hardware, IOT, or other technology related areas. Securing development environments and software include but are not limited to; architecting application security, conducting software evaluations (known risks and/or static and dynamic code analysis), assessing web application vulnerabilities, tracking code releases, automating penetration testing and fuzzing, malware research and reverse engineering, and recommending mitigations for or patching known vulnerabilities.
  • Analyzing IC, USG, and industry cybersecurity best practices in order to identify gaps and improvement opportunities of IC cybersecurity requirements
  • Developing and publishing baseline security requirements for Services of Common Concern and other common enterprise services to ensure capabilities are in compliance with USG and IC cybersecurity directives and policies, are in alignment with published strategies and architectures, and are interoperable
  • Participating in external cybersecurity and data protection related governance, policy, and standards bodies (i.e. CNSS, NIST, DoD) and providing written summary reports and recommendations for follow on actions
  • Evaluating existing and emerging technologies and recommend strategies to support mission requirements

 

Qualifications

  • BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+
  • Requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
