Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced and accomplished Systems Integrator (SI) to support our client’s team responsible for unique engineering and training efforts.  The candidate will need experience in Systems Engineering with a background preferably related to mechanical engineering and problem solving. The SI will also provide full project-lifecycle expertise to the team throughout the development lifecycle for new capabilities and the mission lifecycle for client processes.  The SI will create supporting documentation and proactively contribute to insights to improve mission performance by applying technical insight and end-to-end integration for mission success as well as identifying process improvements where applicable. 

Responsibilities/Tasks include:

  • Developing monthly status reports and schedules for upper level management. These extensive briefings and schedules are compiled by attending technical discussions, contractor PMRs, and project meetings and then working across stakeholders for review.
  • Supporting the client’s technical library / document archive to be shared among several prime contractors on a classified network. Assist in populating the library with critical materials and configuration management.
  • Unique client project documentation development and review for project planning, requirements capture/review, and schedule develop
  • Providing systems integration, engineering, and project management guidance to the architecture Element Leads; this support includes project management, schedule development, answering action items, requirements development/review, and team meeting attendance. Associated tasks would include, but are not limited to: plan/design review, requirements definition, schedule planning, oversight of development progress, TEMs/status meeting facilitation, test planning and execution, instructional development, and final reports.
  • Facilitating the course material design, coordination, and execution of the client’s training course.

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience, preferably Mechanical engineering degree or relevant background
  • Experience developing and leading successful projects dealing with customers and contractors.
  • Experience with full life cycle project management; to include direct responsibility for budget and schedules.
  • Experience working with SMEs and customers.
  • Experience providing systems integration, system engineering, and project management support to the clients an utilizing experience in engineering and research & development.
  • Experience with program strategy and analysis of systems architectures to Project Monthly Reviews (PMRs) at client element contractors.
  • Capable of operating with minimal guidance, a self-starter, strong degree of initiative
  • Excellent organizational & scheduling skills, adept at anticipating problems and envisioning creative solutions
  • Ability to communicate unit needs in a politically astute manner and appreciates the diverse/nuanced role-players involved in each project
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with mission partners across organizational and functional boundaries
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and effective interpersonal skills to include excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong PM skills that show innovation, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple and competing tasking simultaneously
  • Capable of steering project requirements to effective completion, with knowledge of contractor resources/staffing and typical client outcomes

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
