Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking to identify highly motivated and qualified individuals for various future opportunities.  We are currently seeking a Scrum Master

 

Our team supports technical solutions associated with the collection, processing, and exploitation of assured, relevant, and timely oceanographic, meteorological, hydrographic, precise time and astrometric information for the Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC). Candidates who join our team play an integral role in the design, development, and innovative modernization of the IT infrastructure used to provide meteorology and oceanography support to warfighters afloat and ashore. We will maintain, upgrade, and modernize the IT infrastructure to include engineering, software development, administration, and data management.

Must be a US Citizen and hold a DoD Secret clearance, Top Secret clearance preferred

 

Candidates must be within a commutable distance Stennis MI.

 

This work includes but is not limited to:

  • Lead teams on large complex projects, to include initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks to produce the solution and deliverables.
  • Use Agile methodologies in sprint activities (time-boxed sprints, sprint review/launch meetings, weekly status meetings).
  • Translate customer requirements into formal agreements and obtain customer acceptance of results while meeting business objectives.
  • Execute a wide range of process activities beginning with the requirement request through development, test, and final delivery.
  • Responsible for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business measurements for project, according to project charter.
  • Formulate partnerships between customer, suppliers, and staff.
  • Anticipate, identify, track, and report on potential project related problems.
  • Utilize refined techniques for identifying, eliminating, or mitigating solution, project, and business risk.
  • Understand customer, industry, and business trends and apply this understanding to meet project objectives.
  • Challenge the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement.
  • Analyze information and situations and implement actions, independently or through management, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Analyze new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solution involving finance, scheduling, resources, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.
  • Significant breadth of knowledge in business matters, finance, planning, and forecasting and personnel order to manage staff and business matters.

Qualifications

  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
  • Managing geographically dispersed workforce
  • Manage information technology and/or software development projects
  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of Project Management practices
  • Proven ability to use MS Project to manage projects
  • Worked in agile development and production environment
  • Agile Certified Professional
  • Must be a US Citizen and hold a DoD Secret clearance, Top Secret clearance preferred

Desired Experiences:  

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies and projects
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certification
  • DoD Portfolio Management experience
  • DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) experience

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
