Responsibilities

RF Systems Integration & Testing Engineer Technical Specialist will be a member of the system level, end-to-end test engineering team responsible for system Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V). The team is responsible for working closely with the development teams to understand segment and enterprise requirements, review segment-level test scenarios and test reports, create system integration level test plans and detailed test procedures, execute end-to-end integration testing, and provide a final test report and recommendation to move the system forward toward operations. This position also requires insight and experience in a wide range of RF systems engineering tasks. These include but are not limited to terrestrial and SATCOM systems, RF wireless systems, and recent experience directly supporting Customers in an RF testing role.

  • Have working knowledge of RF/Satellite communication systems.  
  • Familiarity with long range communication, both terrestrial and SATCOM  
  • Have working knowledge of RF theory, and experience developing RF link budgets.  
  • Have knowledge of and experience with configuration of RF parameters and how changing each parameter affects link performance. 
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with aptitude for Microsoft Excel  
  • Strong verbal, and written communication skills  
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills with an eye toward process improvement  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Be a team player working with a diverse group of team members  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly level clearance is required
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience  
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of Systems Integration and Test Engineering experience with BS/BA, 8-10 with MS and 5-7 with Phd
  • Ability to develop and document test plans, detailed test procedures, test reports, test activities and transition plans  
  • Experience with testing and/or operating RF equipment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment  
  • Good customer teaming skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams  
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, critical thinking, organizational, and multi-tasking skills  
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, and ability to lead technical forums  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline  
  • IT credentials and certifications (e.g., DAWIA, PMP, INCOSE, ITIL, CISSP and SAFe Agile)  
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall test milestones, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience  
  • BS Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
