Performs an assortment of complex engineering duties such as the planning of manufacturing and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus in a physical environment or computer simulation. Provides existing support to activities in the use of electrical devices and energy for commercial, domestic, and industrial use. Design and develop electronics and circuits. Perform product testing and create models and prototypes. Develop and document electronic schematics for products. Performs a variety of engineering work in designing, planning and overseeing manufacture, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of electric or electronic components, equipment, systems, facilities, and machinery used in generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy for domestic, commercial, and industrial consumption. Works directly with engineers in other disciplines to augment production size and value. May provide work leadership and training to lower level professional and technical staff. May act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on most complex projects.
The Test and Engineer Analyst works as part of the Support to Offensive Systems team in support of the SCAR Program that requires scientific and technical assistance to analyze, simulate, design, measure, test, and evaluate offensive missile systems, subsystems, components, technologies, command and control assets, system support and maintenance equipment, and related items.
Assess the development, physical characteristics, performance, vulnerabilities, and employment of offensive missile systems. Government-provided information shall be used for engineering and scientific assessments and long-range forecasts.
The number and depth of specialized areas to be analyzed require experts in both broad and niche areas of systems, subsystems, technologies, and simulations who can recognize subtleties in research and development programs that can directly affect assessments and forecasts of future weapon developments.
The Test and Engineer Analyst shall analyze and evaluate the activities associated with specific offensive missile system development and test programs to assess the missile system involved, potential system characteristics and performance simulations, purpose and degree of success of tests, apparent status of the development program, and expected future events.
