Responsibilities

Performs an assortment of complex engineering duties such as the planning of manufacturing and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus. Provides existing support to activities in the use of electrical devices and energy for commercial, domestic, and industrial use. Design and develop electronics and circuits. Perform product testing and create models and prototypes. Develop and document electronic schematics for products. Performs a variety of engineering work in designing, planning and overseeing manufacture, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of electric or electronic components, equipment, systems, facilities, and machinery used in generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy for domestic, commercial, and industrial consumption. Works directly with engineers in other disciplines to augment production size and value. May provide work leadership and training to lower level professional and technical staff. May act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on most complex projects.

 

The Automations Lead is part of a team that conducts a Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S&TI) investigation using the ITEAMS process to characterize and document capabilities, performance, and limitations of battalion, group, regiment, and brigade associated SAM and SSM C4 systems. The Automations Lead supports the C4 ITEAMS Threat Definition process working with Systems Operation and Performance and Commuications team members in support of the SCAR Program.

 

Responsible for characterizing the main computer system hardware, software, related human-machine interfaces, and other peripheral devices.

  • Validates that the graphical user interfaces is be accurately defined for each user role and describe the available functionality, configurability, and data presentation during combat operations.
  • Performs software functions such as: sensor and information management, data correlation and fusion, track management, target type/classification, threat evaluation, target prioritization, weapons assignment, and damage assessment must include defined algorithms and an explanation of methods used.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 10+ years of related experience or a masters degree and 8+ years of experience or PhD and 5+ years of relevant experience 
  • TS/SCI w CIP required.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
